Is Terminalbox a VPS?
No. Terminalbox provides an isolated, managed Linux container built for persistent coding-agent terminals. It does not provide root access or control of the host kernel. Choose a VPS when that control is required.
Will Claude Code keep running after I close my laptop?
Yes on paid Terminalbox plans. The hosted terminal, its processes, files, and tmux session continue running while the subscription is active. A correctly configured VPS can provide the same persistence.
Is Claude Code included in the hosting price?
No. Both a VPS and Terminalbox provide the environment where Claude Code runs. Claude Code access, model usage, limits, and Anthropic charges remain separate.
Can I install my own tools in Terminalbox?
Yes. You get a full Debian shell with Git, networking, common runtimes, and user-level package managers. Choose a VPS if your setup requires root-only packages, kernel changes, or custom host networking.
