What we collect.

To run your account we store the email address you sign in with, your subscription tier and billing status, and the workspace and terminal sessions tied to your account. We also keep operational logs of account activity, session activity, and the commands and terminal traffic needed to operate, secure, debug, and audit the service, as described in our terms of service.

How we use it.

We use this data to authenticate you, provision and reconcile your terminals and workspace storage, process billing, keep the service secure, and investigate abuse, outages, billing issues, and suspected policy violations. We do not sell your data or use the contents of your terminals for advertising.

Processors we rely on.

TerminalBox is hosted on infrastructure provided by Hetzner. We use Stripe to process payments, Resend to deliver magic-link sign-in email, and Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. These providers process only the data needed for their function, under their own terms.

Retention.

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal and accounting obligations. Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging, and may be preserved longer when needed to investigate abuse or a security event. Workspace data tied to a closed or suspended account may be removed by routine cleanup.

Security.

Access to production systems and logs is restricted to operators who need it to run the service. We use encrypted connections for traffic to TerminalBox and isolate each user's workspace and terminals. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to limit and contain risk.

Your choices.

You can request access to or deletion of your account data, and you can close your account at any time. Some records may be retained where the law requires. Reach us with any privacy request and we will respond.
